Shipping and Return Policies
SHIPPING POLICY
Large orders, heavy and oversized items may require additional shipping charges. Alaska and Hawaii: add $5.00. Shipping charges are based on your total order amount. Typically, a higher order total equates to a heavier package. We understand there are exceptions. Our ultimate goal is to break even on our true shipping and packing costs; we do not intend to make a profit on shipping. We also want to find our customers the best shipping rates around including insurance if required, so an additional shipping cost may apply, but we will contact you about this.
Domestic Orders
We typically ship items within the contiguous US within 1-3 days of payment, or clearance of payment unless otherwise noted. As soon as your item is shipped, you will receive an email with shipment information and tracking number.
The shipping prices indicated on the site include protective packaging, the cost of ground shipping , and handling costs for heavy or bulky items. These charges will be indicated when you place your order. Additional shipping charges may apply if your item is large or the value is over $100.00. We will contact you if this is the case.
Ground Shipping is currently the only method offered for online orders. If you would like to discuss expedited shipping or shipping with another carrier, please contact us to make special arrangements. USPO ground shipping is estimated at 4-5 days.
Single Address
Estimated delivery charges are calculated assuming all items within the order will be shipped to one address using standard delivery charges. NWTC is not responsible for incorrect shipping addresses or lost/missing packages after item is shipped with a tracking number.
Multiple Addresses
We will gladly ship to multiple addresses. Because shipping to multiple addresses may affect the quoted shipping charge, we will contact you via email to confirm these charges.
Tax
Tax is not applicable to orders shipped out of the state of South Dakota. Shipping items in South Dakota will have tax added to the items.
International Orders
We can ship to you. Custom policies vary widely from country to country so please contact your local customs office for more information. Please note that there are restrictions on certain items and cannot be shipped to international destinations. Customers are responsible for all custom duties and taxes. Please contact us for estimated shipping and delivery dates. You will be contacted after your purchase with exact shipping charges and information.
Legality of Items:
Each state has different laws when it comes to animal parts. You are responsible for determining if the item you want to order is legal in your state. We cannot ship any animal part to a state where it is illegal. Native West Trading Company will hold you responsible for all legal fees and penalties incurred as a result of shipping an item to you that is illegal in your state.
Duties and Taxes
Native West Trading Company carries a line of artwork created from natural materials traditionally used in Native American artwork. Customs fees or taxes may be imposed by the country of destination. Any duties and taxes incurred are the responsibility of the recipient and are payable upon receipt of the goods.
Shipping these unique items may also require special documentation and inspections, as well as permission from certain country officials.
Additional fees for international orders will vary depending on the items purchased and final destination country. Charges will vary according to each country; therefore, we are unable to calculate these charges. Please contact your local port authority for more information.
Although we are happy to assist you with your international order, Native West Trading Post is not responsible for any customs fees or customs taxes imposed by the country of destination.

To prevent any unnecessary delays processing your order, please ensure that the billing addresses on your order matches the information on your credit card. If you have recently moved or are unsure whether you receive your credit card statement at your work or home address, please contact your card-issuing bank using the 800 number on the back of your credit card to confirm.
RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY

Refunds will include payment minus shipping and restocking fee of $20.00. Refunds will be made in the form of the original payment.

Custom orders, handmade crafts and art are sold as non-refundable items and will not be refunded (without prior approval). We will not exchange or refund any food item, herbal or botanical items.

Return the item(s) in original condition within 7 days of receipt. Returns will not be accepted if the merchandise has been damaged, modified or altered in any way.

Returns must include a copy of your invoice and a statement of your desire for a prompt refund, credit or replacement.

After 7 days, there will be no refunds or returns possible.

Exchanges - If you would like to exchange your purchase because you need a different size we would be happy to accommodate as long as item(s) are in original condition. Customer pays shipping along with tracking number.
